MONICA TUCKER MERRIWEATHER is President and CEO of MOCHA Enterprises, a small business publishing and consulting firm, and has dedicated over 25 years as a life consultant. She has served 12 years as a board member and three years as chair of the Armed Services YMCA – El Paso/Fort Bliss, an organization dedicated to making military life easier for junior enlisted Service members and their families.

As a lifelong volunteer, she actively mentors military spouses, men, women, and youth  who aspire to serve in their community and/or find balance in their lives. As an advocate, her goal is to assist with efforts which eliminate racism, bullying, and discrimination against those who are socio-economically disadvantaged.

Monica is the publisher of BLACK EL PASO VOICE NEWS & INFORMATION. She also writes blogs and participates in podcasts about life and combatting negativity. She uses her personal experiences as a tool to help others identify and overcome fears and obstacles as they actively pursue their goals.

Monica has been married for 28 years to a U.S. Army soldier who is now retired. They have two children, a 27-year-old and a 17-year-old.  She enjoys spending time with her 7-year-old grandson, making crafts, and reading. Monica believes that volunteering is a source of relaxation and peace and encourages others to take the time to assist others at least once a month.
